Volvo | EX90 Relaunch

Meet the new EX90 – designed to be the safest Volvo car ever made.
A CAMPAIGN BROUGHT TO LIFE THROUGH A CLOSE CREATIVE COLLABORATION BETWEEN STENDAHLS, VOLVO AND NEW LAND. To relaunch the car, We helped create a 360° campaign. The main asset is a 4 minutes long cinematic signed Oscars awarded DOP Hoyte van Hoytema. I worked with the film typography and graphic design for props and set design. As well as a THOROUGHLY TYPOGRAPHY AND DESIGN SYSTEM for a wide scope of OOH, DOOH, Digital, Social media and print assets for the global market.

Branding a Stockholm-based new skincare line. Coluors wanted to differentiate itself from the crowd by rejecting the standard skincare aesthetic. WE BUILT THE BRAND FROM THE GROUND UP WITH A CONTEMPORARY DESIGN EXPRESSION. We also proposed a unique approach to the packaging design and materials.

Gina Tricot | Digital Brand Identity + Global Website Creative Direction

Gina Tricot was ESTABLISHED IN 1997 AS A SWEDISH RETAIL CHAIN DESIGNED TO OFFER WOMEN the latest in fashion. Today, they operate approximately 150 stores in four European countries. We set the creative direction for their global website and created A DIGITAL VISUAL GUIDELINE DOCUMENT FOR ONGOING CREATIVE WORK.

The car with a plan B. The new XC90 is a versatile plug-in hybrid with room for seven. To launch the car, we helped create a 360° campaign spanning film, print, out of home and social media. We created a wide scope of creative assets for the global market.

Beckmans College of Design/Stockholm Furniture Fair | Exhibition Visual ID

The final-year students in Product Design at Beckmans College of Design have created an alternative meeting place in Greenhouse at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. The students have created a space to inspire informal gatherings of people, in the same way as you would meet spontaneously about town — sitting at the edge of a monument, on a front porch or a flight of stairs. AS PART OF THE VISUAL COMMUNICATION CLASS AT BECKMANS, WE MADE THE FILM AND ADVERTISING.

Gothenburg & Co | Valentine’s Day

Gothenburg & Co, the official tourist organisation of Gothenburg, Sweden, needed a visual concept for Valentine’s Day. COMBINING VISUAL CUES OF THE WEST COAST LANDSCAPE WITH RED, THE TRADITIONAL COLOUR OF LOVE, our proposal was designed to encourage visitors to stay in and explore the area, positioning Gothenburg as a tourist destination for couples.

Samuel Forsström is a freelance Design Director based in Sweden, specialising in building emotional brand values within the lifestyle, sportswear and art- and design segments.

With 15+ years of international experience, he infuses extensive knowledge and high ambitions within Art- and Design Direction, Graphic Design and Typography into any visual project.

Previous work includes positions at Acne and Forsman & Bodenfors, among others. He is passionate about building prominent and contemporary brands such as Volvo, Reebok, Intersport, IKEA, International Federation of Red Cross, Lindex and H&M Group.

Samuel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with focus on Visual Communication (Main field of studies: Design, Advertising, Typography) from Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm.

His output has been recognized at international design awards such as D&AD, Art Director’s Club, Cresta Awards and Eurobest.
